Custom Buck Knives

Nearly all Buck Knives are made in America, specifically in Post Falls, Idaho. Only a small number of their lower-cost models are made overseas. Every engraved Buck knife sold by Palmetto Wood Shop is American-made.

Buck Knives are famously rugged and reliable. With proper care and maintenance, Buck Knives can last for generations. Buck Knives are also known for making blades with superb edge retention and durability. The “Buck Edge” is the result of a special heat-treating process.

Beyond their iconic look, feel, and performance, a custom Buck knife is a slice of American history. Not only are Buck Knives made in the USA, but they’ve also embodied American heritage and craftsmanship for well over 100 years since being founded in 1902.

Most (not all) Buck Knives include a leather sheath. Check the knife’s product description for details.

To keep your Buck Knife performing for many decades to come, keep it clean, dry, sharp, lubricated, and conditioned. Here are some quick tips:

• Wash the knife as needed with a mild dish soap and water. Make sure to dry it thoroughly.
• Rubbing alcohol can take care of stubborn gunk and grime that builds up on your custom Buck knife.
• Lubricate the pivot points and any other moving parts with knife oil at least twice yearly.
• Use a wood conditioner or mineral oil to condition the wood handle.
• Sharpen the blades every few months (or whenever they’re dull).
